Ipsen has announced that it will be allying on new drug research with PeptiDream, a leading developer of peptide-based therapies.

Combining PeptiDream's proprietary peptide library with Ipsen's expertise in peptide drug discovery and pharmaceutical research and development, the alliance will help to advance understanding of potential treatment options for a number of serious conditions.
PeptiDream is responsible for creating a cutting-edge and highly versatile peptide generation and selection platform that enables the production of highly diverse non-standard peptide libraries with high efficiency.
Dr Claude Bertrand, executive vice-president for research and development and chief scientific officer at Ipsen, said: "We believe the Ipsen-PeptiDream agreement implements our philosophy to apply innovation for future patient care."
Last month, the company refined the strategic focus of its operations by completing the sale of its lead haemophilia programme OBI-1 to Baxter.
