Waters launches Myco6in1 Plus immunoassay column

Waters has announced the launch of the new Myco6in1 Plus immunoassay column, for use in liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry (MS) and MS immunoaffinity (IA) applications.

It is the only IA column that is able to simultaneously screen for seven major mycotoxin families isolating at least 14 chemically-distinct mycotoxins, including aflatoxin, ochratoxin A, fumonisin, deoxynivalenol, zearalenone, T-2, HT-2 and nivalenol.

The device has been developed by Waters' Vicam division and combines the proven strengths of selective monoclonal antibodies and liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry.

It can deliver precise numerical results, with a recovery rate greater than 90 percent, using only one sample and a single pass through the column.

Marjorie Radlo-Zandi, general manager and director of operations of Vicam, said: "Our patented new multi-analyte column provides superior measurable results, while also giving sample throughput and overall efficiency a major boost."

Last month, Waters announced that it will be creating an integrated network with Dani Instruments supporting their various chromatography offerings.
