Leo Pharma names new UK divisional directors
Leo Pharma has strengthened the leadership team of its UK and Ireland affiliate with the appointment of two new divisional directors.
Mike Williams – a veteran of Roche, AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Schering-Plough – will be taking up the position of dermatology director, bringing more than 13 years of industry experience to the role.
Meanwhile, Barbara Reilly has been appointed as the head of the company's thrombosis division, moving over from her previous post as Leo Pharma's country manager in Ireland.
Both appointments reflect Leo Pharma's efforts to become a global patient-centric organisation as it seeks to meet the challenges of an evolving healthcare market.
Geraldine Murphy, managing director for Leo Pharma, said: "They both bring extensive experience to our business and will be key to Leo UK and Ireland achieving our goals in both dermatology and thrombosis."
In February 2013, the company announced a new collaboration with 4SC Discovery to research, develop and commercialise a promising new oral treatment for inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis.
