Elsevier launches web-based research solution

27th March 2013

Elsevier has announced the launch of a new web-based version of the Pathway Studio research solution that will be used by biologists.

The biotechnology manufacturer confirmed the tool will incorporate biological data from the organisation's journals, as well as those obtained through a series of collaborations with third-party publishers.

As a result, Elsevier said the addition of this information means the resource is unparalleled in its depth and coverage of molecular interactions with supporting evidence.

The web-based version of Pathway Studio will extend access to researchers in order to provide new insights and to assist with critical decision making in the profession.

Jacqui Mason, product development director for biology products at Elsevier, said current molecular facts are scattered in individual articles that researchers must gather and integrate these to advance their work.

She added: "The new content included in Pathway Studio can expose a more complete picture in biology, which reduces risk, increases efficiency, and ultimately improves success rate whether it’s bringing a new drug to market or exploring a theory."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801563496-ADNFCR
