Agilent and Applied Proteomics to collaborate on protein assays
Agilent Technologies has agreed a new collaboration with Applied Proteomics that will aim to maximise the capabilities of their highly multiplexed protein assay offerings.
Applied Proteomics will utilise Agilent's 6490 Triple Quadrupole MS/MS, 1290 Infinity LC, RapidFire 360 MS system and Bravo liquid-handling technologies to optimise the throughput of its assays, delivering new workflow solutions for multiple reaction monitoring through mass spectrometry.
This will enable laboratory staff to quickly and accurately measure, monitor and analyse large numbers of protein biomarkers in a single test, thus accelerating drug development processes.
The alliance will leverage Agilent's innovative automation, measurement and software platforms to facilitate data acquisition, analysis and evaluation processes.
Can Ozbal, director of Agilent's RapidFire business, said: "We are thrilled to be collaborating with Applied Proteomics, an organisation that has leading expertise in developing mass spectrometry-based methods and instrumentation technologies for protein quantification and proteome applications."
This comes after the company last month announced an alliance with Florida International University to advance the identification and characterisation of designer drugs.
