Ipsen appoints deputy chief executive officer

28th February 2013

Ipsen has announced the appointment of Christel Bories as its new deputy chief executive officer (CEO), a role that gives her significant responsibility in accelerating the execution of the company's strategy.

The experienced businesswoman will work closely with chairman and CEO Marc de Garidel from March 31st 2013, offering a helpful and knowledgeable new perspective at a key phase in Ipsen's development.

Ms Bories has spent most of her career in the industrial sector, serving more than a decade and a half with the manufacturing firm Constellium and its various forerunners, while she has also served on the directorial boards of a number of other firms.

In her new role, she will leverage her business leadership and change management to help Ipsen achieve its strategic goals.

Mr de Garidel said: "In her various positions, Christel demonstrated strong knowhow and proven effectiveness in operational management. Christel shares our values and her expertise will be valuable to accelerate Ipsen's development."

According to the company's recently published 2012 financial report, Ipsen exceeded its internal business targets last year, despite challenging conditions in its native France and elsewhere.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801548541-ADNFCR
