Burson-Marsteller appoints new healthcare practice director

19th February 2013

Burson-Marsteller has announced the appointment of government official Judith Moore as the latest addition to its healthcare practice team.

Ms Moore will join the company as a director from her current role as senior press officer at the Department of Health, where she leads media work for both the public health minister and chief medical officer.

She is presently responsible for proactive and reactive communication strategies on issues including immunisation, genetics, obesity and alcohol, while she has also previously worked on devising media strategies for the Home Office.

According to Ms Moore, a number of agencies were interested in hiring her, but the ambition of Burson-Marsteller – as conveyed by healthcare practice leader Kate Hawker – convinced her to join.

Ms Hawker said: "Her experience of delivering a message through a wide range of channels, crisis management skills and her unrivalled knowledge of the UK health media mean she will be a superb addition to the team."

Burson-Marsteller is one of the world's most prominent PR agencies and won a PRWeek award in 2012 for being one of the best large agencies for which to work.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801542806-ADNFCR
