DJO Global reports record 2012 performance
DJO Global has reported its financial results for the 2012 full-year period, during which it achieved its best ever performance in terms of net sales.
The company's sales revenue for the 12 months came to $1.13 billion (728.81 million pounds), up by 5.1 percent on 2011, with a record-breaking fourth-quarter total of $290.5 million contributing to this outcome.
Key factors in this expansion included the acquisitions of Circle City Medical and Dr Comfort during 2011 and the strong performance recorded by the firm's bracing and vascular, surgical implant and international teams.
Other 2012 highlights included the launch of the Motivation Knee System and the confirmation of a new research partnership with the University of Utah.
The firm is expecting to build on this momentum further in 2013 thanks to the recent acquisition of long-term business partner Exos and the launch of several innovative offerings over the coming 12 months.
Mike Mogul, DJO's president and chief executive officer, said: "Our successful new product launches and improving commercial execution continue to drive strong momentum across most of our businesses and provide a solid foundation for incremental growth in 2013."
