TTP Labtech launches new acumen hci system

TTP Labtech has announced the release of its new acumen high content imaging (hci) system.

This product has been created to help researchers who want to boost output from their high throughput imaging processes and will supersede the company's acumen eX3 imager.

Its new open-source image source has been designed to give users "complete flexibility" with regard to analysing images in their existing software if needs be and acumen hci will also take its place as the market leader in terms of speed for multiplex assays in up to 1536-well plates.

TTP Labtech explained that the product is able to image and analyse the whole wells of a 96- to 1536- well plates in just eight minutes – speed which is "unparalleled" in the market at present.

Such a high resolution of imaging and analysing enables the product to effectively screen high density plates, as well as facilitating assay miniaturisation.
