Sanofi Pasteur MSD staff member named Vaccines Europe head

15th January 2013

Sanofi Pasteur MSD has announced that its staff member Andrea Rappagliosi has been named president of the industry organisation Vaccines Europe as of the start of this year.

Mr Rappagliosi – the vice-president of market access, health policy and medical affairs at Sanofi Pasteur MSD – will bring two decades of pharmaceutical industry experience to the role, including his time spent with Sanofi and GlaxoSmithKline.

Vaccines Europe is the group representing vaccine manufacturers within the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations, the professional association of the European pharmaceutical industry.

His appointment is a testament to the leadership qualities and proficiency boasted by the Sanofi Pasteur MSD management team, company president Jean-Paul Kress noted.

He added: "Andrea's expertise will boost Vaccines Europe's advocacy focus whilst highlighting Sanofi Pasteur MSD's profile as a clear leader in vaccines in Europe."

This comes after the firm appointed Serge Montero as vice-president and general manager of its French operations last week.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801522195-ADNFCR
