Geistlich Pharma showcases products at industry congress in Bern

Geistlich Pharma has highlighted the success of the recent joint meeting of the SGI, DGI and OGI  (Schweizerischen, Deutschen und Osterreichischen Gesellschaft fur orale Implantologie) in Bern, which it attended earlier this month.

Representing the Swiss, German and Austrian dental trades, the conference was attended by more than 1,300 people and saw a number of issues pertinent to the state of the implant dentistry sector discussed.

Talks were given on the value of preserving teeth and the pros and cons of risk-taking in clinical settings, as well as the need for innovation to ensure the future success of the sector.

Geistlich made a number of contributions to the event, with experts discussing the benefits of the Geistlich Mucograft offering for soft tissue regeneration and Geistlich Bio-Gide in the treatment of extraction sockets.

Meanwhile, the Geistlich Innovation Forum – where Dr Jamal Stein and Dr Christian Hammacher presented interdisciplinary approaches to peri-implantitis treatment – attracted "a great deal of interest", according to the firm.

The company is widely recognised as a world market leader in regenerative dentistry, offering products such as the bone replacement product Geistlich Bio-Oss.
