Greiner Bio-One launches new Cellstar range
Greiner Bio-One has announced the launch of its new Cellstar cell culture vessel range, which features an innovative cell-repellent surface.
Presenting the new products at the annual meeting of the American Society for Cell Biology, the manufacturer explained that the new surface helps to prevent attachment of semi-adherent and adherent cell lines, making it perfect for cultivating spheroids and embryoid bodies.
Achieved through a stable chemical modification of the plastic, this cell-repelling effect can aid the use of Cellstar vessels in the creation of stem cells or 3D models for pharmaceutical research.
They are also free of detectable DNases, RNases and human DNA, as well as detectable endotoxins or cytotoxic substances, while offering a shelf-life of two years and a sterile composition.
Greiner Bio-One said it "will offer the cell-repellent surface for 96-well microplates with F or U bottom, six-well multiwell plates and the 100mm cell culture dish".
The company is currently active in more than 100 countries around the world, with more than 1,700 employees, 20 subsidiaries and numerous distribution partners.
We have hundreds of jobs available across the Healthcare industry, find your perfect one now.
