Eppendorf launches two new automated pipetting system

6th November 2012

Eppendorf has announced the launch of a pair of automated pipetting systems that have been uniquely tailored for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) setup and nucleic acid purification.

The epMotion P5073 and M5073 devices are designed to streamline and automate complex analytical processes, while retaining flexibility to be used as open systems for diverse automated liquid handling applications.

Using the epMotion M5073, scientists can carry out DNA purification techniques with minimal manual input, achieving short setup times and high yields, while the accompanying MagSep reagent kits eliminate the need for manual buffer handling and require only room temperature storage.

Meanwhile, the epMotion P5073 offers similar benefits in PCR applications, with four different, step-by-step guided PCR assistants available.

The company said: "The new epMotion P5073 and M5073 workstations automate and simplify what are traditionally complex, labour-intensive pipetting tasks, saving time and improving the reliability and reproducibility of results."

Last month, the company officially opened its state-of-the-art new UK headquarters at the Arlington Business Park in Stevenage.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801483130-ADNFCR
