Dentsply unveils the new Cavitron

Dentsply has unveiled its new Cavitron after carrying out a number of improvements on the product.

The Cavitron Jet Plus now includes Tap-On technology, with the foot pedal mechanism updated in an effort to reduce leg and foot fatigue.

Users can activate the wireless pedal by tapping it, which allows the foot to relax while the procedure is carried out before being deactivated when finished.

The product also boasts prophy auto cycles, which switches between air, polish and rinse without the need for the foot pedal to be pumped.

By using the Tap-On technology, users can activate the prophy mode auto cycles with a choice of short, medium and long durations.

A Turbo Mode feature added to the design means power can be bolstered up to 25 per cent more than the boost mode, while the Finer Water Flow Control results in improved lavage and more precise flow direction.

These units will also include the new FSI SLI 1000 Cavitron Insert.
