Aurora celebrates ADHD app success

9th October 2012

Aurora has been celebrating the success of an app designed to help people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) overcome the challenges they face on a day-today basis.

The company impressed judges at the PM Society Digital Media Awards – which rewards innovation in digital communications across life sciences and healthcare – with Sorted: The Daily Organiser, an application praised for its original use of gamification.

Using motivational design, the app – which was developed for Aurora's clients Janssen – aims to help users stay on track when completing daily tasks.

Individuals are rewarded for achieving their goals through a positive feedback system that uses audio, visual and sensory mechanisms.

By coming up with tasks each day, categorising and prioritising them, people are able to make task-setting a rewarding cyclical process that sees them achieving their aims over time.

The team at Aurora said it is now committed to carrying on with its work in this field for the benefit of the healthcare community.
