Reckitt Benckiser appoints new CFO
Reckitt Benckiser has announced the appointment of Adrian Henneh as its new chief financial officer (CFO), effective from the end of the year.
Mr Henneh, the current CFO of medical technology firm Smith and Nephew, will take over the role from Liz Doherty, who is stepping down to pursue new opportunities elsewhere.
Ms Doherty will stay with the company until March 2013 in order to ensure a smooth transition during the year-end period.
Rakesh Kapoor, chief executive officer (CEO) of Reckitt Benckiser, thanked the outgoing executive for her contributions to the business over the last two years, particularly her work in facilitating his own transition into the CEO role last year.
He added that the new CFO's "global experience, especially in the healthcare industry, will be very valuable as we execute our strategy of extending our health and hygiene Powerbrands internationally, with a particular focus on emerging markets".
Mr Kapoor moved into the key CEO role in September 2011, following the retirement of former business leader Bart Becht.
