Karl Storz has underlined the benefits offered by its OR1 Neo operating theatre, which have helped the product to claim a market-leading position in the UK.
Currently, the OR1 Neo has a market share of more than 50 percent and has been installed in some of the country's leading hospitals, including the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and St Mary's Hospital in Paddington.
According to Karl Storz, this is because the operating theatre is fully integrated and incorporates a wide range of equipment and technology to facilitate minimal access endoscopic surgery.
This allows clinicians to benefit from an operating theatre environment in which the latest advances in technology can be seamlessly incorporated into the system.
The manufacturer said: "It combines streamlined, sleek, aesthetic perfection with safety, practicality and unparalleled functionality, creating an environment where surgery of the highest standard can be carried out."
Karl Storz introduced its OR1 product range in 1993 and is constantly working to bring greater efficiency and ergonomic design to operating theatres.
