Forest Laboratories has announced the results of its annual board election, with nine of its ten nominated candidates earning seats.
Based on preliminary data, Dr Nesli Basgoz, Christopher Coughlin, Kenneth Goodman, Gerald Lieberman, Dr Lawrence Olanoff, Dr Lester Salans, Brenton Saunders and Peter Zimetbaum will take seats on the board, as will chairman and chief executive officer Howard Solomon.
Meanwhile, Pierre Legault - one of four candidates proposed by influential investor and shareholder Carl Icahn - will also assume a directorial role.
The company thanked the outgoing director Dan Goldwasser for his contributions to the business, while welcoming Mr Legault to the organisation.
Mr Solomon said: "With one of the deepest and most promising product portfolios in the industry, we are excited about our future prospects and believe the company is positioned to deliver sustainable revenue growth."
Last month, Forest announced that US approval had been granted for Tudorza Pressair, a long-term maintenance treatment for chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder.
