Philips has earned a positive testimony for its Philips High Performance DigitalDiagnost DiDi 3.0 X-ray system from a Northern Irish hospital.
Altnagelvin Area Hospital in Londonderry - which is part of the Western Health and Social Care Trust - recently purchased the device alongside a compact M-cabinet CXA generator.
The DigitalDiagnost system offers two detectors that make it easy to switch from table to chest exams, plus a completely integrated wireless portable detector for use in a variety of flexible applications.
It allows the hospital to benefit from faster patient throughput and shorter waiting times, while also offering a number of user-friendly design features and settings.
Joanne McFeely, clinical specialist radiographer at the Altnagelvin Area Hospital, said: "As radiographers, we seek to ensure that we optimise X-ray exams, ie deliver the best image with minimum radiation dose. The DigitalDiagnost system with its latest technology enables us to do just this."
The manufacturer also won praise this week from Derriford Hospital, which recently upgraded its ageing Philips neuro-interventional X-ray system to a state-of-the-art Allura Xper FD20/10.
