Weber Shandwick appoints new digital health specialist
9 August 2012 12:11 in Marketing Services
Weber Shandwick has announced the appointment of Damien Bonafont to the newly-created role of digital health specialist.
Mr Bonafont was formerly the new media consultant at Swiss pharmaceutical company Merck Serono and worked on the firm's online Real MS voices campaign for multiple sclerosis.
In his new role, he will be tasked with ensuring compliance of all digital projects for the agency's European clients, with a strong focus on the UK.
He has been appointed following a dramatic increase in Weber Shandwick's digital workload over the past 12 months.
James Warren, Weber Shandwick's head of digital for the EMEA region, said: "Damien will work with the health teams across Europe to make sure every programme we have developed respects the regulatory framework and of course drives engagement."
The media agency operates 83 offices internationally and was named as one of the 100 best companies to work for in the UK by the Sunday Times earlier this year.
