Department of Health to consolidate digital and direct accounts
A number of media agencies will compete for a 50 million pound government contract as the Department of Health aims to consolidate its digital and direct accounts.
The department has shortlisted 15 shops after initially inviting between 20 to 30 agencies to a special briefing last week, with five to be selected for a creative presentation soon, reports Campaign.
Past PR partners for the Department of Health include Partners Andrews Aldridge, CMW, EHS 4D, Iris and Kitcatt Nohr Digitas.
A spokesman for the department said appointing a single agency to handle its direct and digital activity will make it "easier" to get its messages across, while also aiding efforts to bolster efficiency.
The final appointment is due to be confirmed on October 1st 2012, while a separate review of the department's advertising for its ongoing anti-smoking campaign will also be carried out.
This review process commenced earlier this year, with Dare most recently handling creative duties on the campaign.
