Liberty Communications has appointed established telecommunications expert Nick Lane as the head of its new telecoms and media unit.
Mr Lane, the founder of the mobile advertising research agency mobileSQUARED, brings 16 years of industry experience to Liberty's expanding senior leadership team, allowing him to play a crucial role in defining client strategy.
Founded in 2007, mobileSQUARED now provides advertising, content and services in 30 mobile markets around the world, reports PRWeek.
This latest hire follows the appointments of head of digital Peter Hay and creative planner Matt Wood earlier this year.
Dee Gibbs, managing director and founder of Liberty Communications, said: "He has an industry reputation and base of knowledge that is second-to-none and is ideal for our new role of head of telecoms and media."
Liberty was originally founded in 1998 and is actively hiring staff for its four business units: corporate and clean tech, enterprise tech, consumer tech and telecoms and media.
