BMI Healthcare is allying with the medical professional network Doctors.net.uk to help raise awareness of its services among UK doctors.
The campaign will inform GPs about the wide range of facilities BMI Healthcare offers to patients who are unable to receive certain treatments free on the NHS, or would prefer to receive private care.
Running for 12 months, the initiative will involve the launch of a dedicated microsite featuring a range of resources, including topical news items on private healthcare, polls and case studies.
Doctors.net.uk is currently the largest and most active network of medical professionals in the UK.
Nigel Moon, head of marketing services at BMI Healthcare, said: "The current changes to the NHS mean GPs need critical information about the alternatives available to their patients should they need or want to have treatment in the private sector."
BMI Healthcare is presently making efforts to expand access to its services among international patients, having overseen an 82 percent increase in the number of its overseas patients during the last 18 months.
