B Braun has been presented with an industry accolade for the transparency and strong communication principles embodied by its 2011 annual report.
The League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) has given a silver Vision Award in the healthcare category to B Braun for its 'Sharing Expertise. Promoting Partnership' report, which received a score of 97 out of a possible 100 points.
Evaluations were based on the initial visual impression given by the report, as well as its creativity of design and layout, and the transparency and preparation of the financial data.
In claiming this accolade, the company was able to see off competition from around 5,500 companies from more than 24 countries.
B Braun stated that the report "impressed the judges above all with the clarity of its message and the transparent access it afforded to the in-house financial information".
Earlier this month, the company's Omnitest 3 blood glucose meter received a positive evaluation in a Stiftung Warentest product test, gaining a rating of "good (2.0)".
