Dechra unveils otitis treatment case studies

25 July 2012 16:57 in Animal Health Supplier News

Dechra Veterinary Products has announced the launch of a series of case studies designed to aid clinicians with the treatment of otitis externa.

Launched as part of the health campaign Time to Change, the studies feature a series of problems and solutions associated with the disease, accompanied by clear images and photomicrographs.

They discuss the best ways of treating otitis using Dechra products such as Canaural, CleanAural and MalAceticAural, as well as addressing the underlying causes of the disease and steps that must be taken after treatment.

Otitis externa is a frequently diagnosed condition with a number of variants, including Malassezia, staphylococcal and Proteus infections.

Larry King, senior brand manager at Dechra Veterinary Products, said: "As veterinary professionals are aware, otitis is common and can be challenging to diagnose and treat. These studies address individual cases and demonstrate how the Dechra dermatology range can be used effectively."

Last month, the company launched support materials focusing on matters relating to pet ear health as part of the Time to Change scheme.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801415347-ADNFCR
