Mr Walker brings more than 17 years of experience in international industrial and medical technology business to his new role, as well as extensive expertise in leading the financial functions of major companies.
He spent seven years as CFO of hearing solutions company Sonova and four years in the same position at Stratec Medical Group, while he also served in various roles at the Von Roll group.
The University of Berne graduate will also become part of Nobel Biocare's executive committee when he joins next month.
Richard Laube, chief executive officer of Nobel Biocare, said: "His strong project management and leadership skills and experience in building medical technology companies will be a great asset to Nobel Biocare as we continue to develop our company."
Mr Walker succeeds Dirk Kirsten in the CFO role after the latter announced his intention to pursue other opportunities earlier this month.
