Octopus Group launches consumer-focused Union Street agency
20 July 2012 15:30 in Technology PR
Octopus Group has announced the launch of a new media agency that will focus on projects for mainstream consumer and challenger brands.
Union Street will target a variety of consumer-facing brands and will utilise home-grown qualitative and quantitative research and planning to help orient campaigns around ideas and channels that will best communicate with the average person.
It will be based at Octopus Group's London office and staffed by the former consumer team at Octopus Communications, with Juliet Cameron appointed as its business leader.
Existing Octopus clients such as BMW Financial Services and HotUKDeals will move across to Union Street, while new customers include That's Not Fair and Flavrbox.
Ms Cameron said: "Union Street is all about creating a new exciting place where discipline doesn't matter and engagement campaigns are built from the ground up."
Octopus was founded in 2001 and has since become a highly successful UK-based consultancy, with clients including SAP, Barclays, Cisco and Adecco.
