Henry Schein has announced the completion of three acquisitions that will help it to expand its global capabilities and complement its long-term growth strategy.
The company has closed a deal to purchase Ortho Technology, a distributor of orthodontics products serving more than 10,000 customers worldwide and generating $24 million (15.28 million pounds) in annual sales.
Laboratory technology firm Modern Laboratory Services has also been purchased this month, in addition to Accord, a full-service dental dealer in Thailand.
The combined yearly sales of these three organisations come to $61 million and their contributions will be vital to the achievement of Henry Schein's 2011-14 strategic plan.
Stanley Bergman, chairman and chief executive officer of Henry Schein, said: "Each of the three companies is a leader in its respective area of focus, and each is an excellent cultural fit with an unwavering commitment to customer service."
Earlier this month, the company also agreed a deal with ReDent Nova to distribute its products in Germany and the Netherlands.
