Virgo Health welcomes acquisition by GolinHarris
Virgo Health has expressed optimism in its future growth prospects following its acquisition by the Interpublic Group subsidiary GolinHarris.
The award-winning healthcare communications firm is hoping to build on the growth it has enjoyed since its foundation in 2003 by agreeing to this deal, which will particularly help to establish the brand in North America and beyond.
Virgo Health will retain its name following the takeover, while founders and joint chief executive officers (CEOs) Angie Wiles and Sarah Matthew will continue in their current roles, reporting to Fred Cook, GolinHarris' CEO.
Ms Matthew said: "As businesses and people we are a perfect match and, in joining forces with GolinHarris, we are able to optimise our ambitions in terms of extending our geographical reach and impact."
Virgo currently works with some of the world's largest healthcare brands, including AstraZeneca, GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer and Novartis.
Last month, the company won a prize and a nomination at this year's Sabre Awards, as well as being shortlisted for a CIPR Excellence Award.
