Brands2Life's digital head forms new media agency
16 July 2012 13:13 in Technology PR
Brands2Life's former digital head Gareth Thomas has established a new consumer and business-to-business PR agency called Capella, which will be based in Battersea.
The newly-formed company will serve both established and challenger brands in the technology, internet, entertainment and media sectors, with ambitious growth and recruitment plans for the coming years.
It launches with four members of staff, including its first senior hire Nia Evans, who joins the firm from her role as European communications manager at online ticketing exchange viagogo.
Capella will benefit from Mr Thomas' extensive industry experience accumulated during his ten years at Brands2Life, during which he worked with clients such as Google and Match.com.
He said: "The turbulent economic times are disrupting both the wider market and the PR landscape, and the emergence of digital and social media have created new opportunities for brands."
Sarah Scales - who founded Brands2Life with Giles Fraser back in 2000 - congratulated Mr Thomas on his new enterprise, while affirming her confidence in his abilities.
