Roche reveals new Multiplate analyser

Roche has unveiled its new Multiplate analyser product to aid medical professionals in determining the bleeding risk of their patients.

The analyser will help doctors to ascertain a clearer picture of their patient's health prior to starting treatment, ensuring they are able to prescribe the right pharmaceuticals and treatments to minimise the risk of exacerbating symptoms.

Colin Brown, head of Roche Professional Diagnostics, commented: "Multiplate ideally complements our new hemostasis portfolio as it combines proven medical benefit to health professionals with striking innovation for the clinical laboratory."

He added that the new device is the first in what the company plans to be a long line of new equipment for medical professionals in this area.

Founded more than 110 years ago, Roche specialises in the development of intravenous treatments for cancer and transplantation, as well as equipment and medicines to aid in the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, virology, metabolic disorders and diseases of the nervous system.
