Pfizer Animal Health unveils immunisation labelling
9 July 2012 15:54 in Animal Health Supplier News
Pfizer Animal Health has announced it is to provide additional information to the buyers of its vaccination products relating to the duration of immunisation (DOI).
The company is keen to ensure its customers are as aware as possible of DOI of its products in order to ensure cattle producers in particular have access to all the information they require to determine the best respiratory vaccines to complement their herd health programmes.
Dr Jan Seeger of Pfizer Animal Health Cattle and Equine Technical Services commented that this labelling can give producers confidence their livestock will remain protected during periods of high risk.
He added: "The duration of immunity may be longer than what they need - it's most important that it doesn't fall short."
Pfizer Animal Health operates in 60 countries around the world and provides pharmaceutical advice and medicines to treat a range of animals, from livestock to domestic cats and dogs.
The company presently employs more than 5,000 people, including 700 scientists, veterinarians and specialists.
