Agilent Technologies has named Imaxio as the latest certified service provider for the Agilent SureSelect Target Enrichment System for next-generation sequencing (NGS).
The biotechnology firm, which has been a certified provider of Agilent microarray services for several years, was able to pass Agilent's SureSelect service provider certification criteria earlier this year.
It did so by participating in comprehensive on-site training programmes, followed by a rigorous set of tests to demonstrate expertise and skill.
Moreover, Imaxio also recently acquired the Agilent automated workstation for NGS library and microarray sample preparation in order to further improve its throughput capabilities.
Kathleen Shelton, senior director of genomics marketing at Agilent, said: "SureSelect is the leader in NGS target enrichment, with over 250 publications. We look forward to a productive and rewarding partnership with Imaxio."
Last month, Agilent significantly expanded its business capabilities through the completion of its acquisition of fellow life science company Dako.
