KCI names new international senior vice-president

KCI has named Mike Matthews as senior vice-president of its international business, with responsibility for EMEA, Asia-Pacific and emerging market territories.
He joins the company from Bayer HealthCare, where he spent the majority of his 25-year career, moving between roles in areas as diverse as consumer care, biologics and diabetes care.
In his new position, Mr Matthews will have operational responsibility for managing the execution of all commercial business plans in various key regions, identifying new opportunities for expansion, productivity or efficiency improvements.
He will also be tasked with seeking new technology and innovation partnerships across these various regions.
Joe Woody, president and chief executive officer at KCI, said: "He has a track record of driving revenue, profitability and growth which inspires confidence and will galvanise our global workforce."
In May 2012, the company augmented its leadership team further with the appointment of Peter Arnold to the role of senior vice-president of innovation and strategic marketing.
