Sirona has been ranked third in a league table of Germany's 100 most innovative small to medium-sized enterprises, earning it a Top 100 award.
The dental technology leader has won recognition for its commitment to research and development, having opened a new centre of innovation in 2011, complete with high-tech work stations and an exhibition foyer.
It coincides with the 50th anniversary of the firm's Bensheim production plant and saw Sirona emerge at the forefront of a pack of 281 entrants in this year's award programme.
Dr Joachim Pfeiffer, chief technology officer at Sirona, said: "We support the positive innovation climate at Sirona with sophisticated processes and broad scope for creativity, as well as intellectual and technical development."
In 2009 and 2003, the company received accolades for being a top-rated employer, while earlier this year it was presented with a prestigious red dot design prize for its Sinus treatment centre.
Other key products to receive awards recognition in recent years include the Teneo treatment centre, the Cerec AC digital acquisition unit, the MultiMotion headrest and the Galileos 3D X-ray system.
