Double Helix acquired by McCann Health

28th June 2012

Double Helix is being acquired by global health communications network McCann Health in a deal that will expand the capabilities of both organisations.

Adding the market research and market access services provider to its portfolio will help McCann Health to become the most differentiated and endowed full-service communications firm of its kind.

In the past year alone, Double Helix has taken on projects for more than 30 major pharmaceutical multinational clients spanning in excess of 40 countries, while it operates offices in London, New York, Philadelphia and Singapore.

The firm was founded in 1995 and has worked with the majority of the world's 20 biggest pharmaceutical companies, including Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline.

Following the merger, Double Helix founder and chief executive officer (CEO) Dr Wayne Phillips will retain his current role, reporting to John Cahill, CEO of McCann Health.

Dr Phillips said: "McCann Health provides us with the resources to create an exciting and fulfilling future through the continued development and further internationalisation of the business."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801395737-ADNFCR
