BCF Technology X-ray system wins praise from wildlife park

BCF Technology has won an endorsement from the Camperdown Wildlife Park in Dundee after its Vita CR X-ray system was used in an important procedure.
Representatives of the company recently travelled to the facility with a Vita device and X-ray generator in order to help treat a European brown bear that had developed a discharging sinus beneath its lower mandible.
The combination of the digital radiography system and X-ray generator allowed staff to obtain instant images on-site, allowing an immediate decision to be reached over the extraction of three teeth.
It meant that any risks to the animal's health and wellbeing were greatly reduced, while the Vita's portable nature and high-quality imagery were also praised.
A representative from the wildlife park said: "Traditional radiographic procedures would have entailed either a much longer anaesthetic time where films would have been developed off-site or even two separate anaesthetic occasions for diagnosis and then surgery."
This comes after the company earlier this month introduced a new and improved version of the Vita system, which features a number of user-friendliness benefits.
