Source BioScience has held its annual general meeting (AGM) for 2012, during which it highlighted the strong progress it has made in the last 12 months.
The company noted that double-digit revenue increases have been achieved compared to its performance at the same point in 2011, with its LifeSciences division forging a leading position in the European DNA sequencing sector.
Meanwhile, its healthcare division has also seen growth thanks to the performance of its cytology business, which is supporting the NHS cervical cancer screening programme.
Both divisions are forecast to expand further in the current year, with the company's next half-year report planned for August 2012 expected to reflect this.
Laurie Turnbull, chairman of Source BioScience, said: "Our strong business foundations have enabled us to introduce additional technology platforms and access new markets, increasing the capability and geographic reach of the group."
This comes after the rapidly growing firm achieved year-on-year revenue growth of 13 percent in 2011.
