Corin has announced the launch of a new application for Apple's iPad tablet device that provides medical professionals with information on its product range.
The Surgeon Resource Hub app is available via the Apple iTunes store and focuses on the company's orthopaedic device offerings, providing at-a-glance access to information on technical details, product overviews and design rationales.
Among the products featured on the app are the MiniHip, MetaFix and TaperFit hip replacement devices, the Trinity advanced bearing acetabular system, the Uniglide unicompartmental replacement knee and the Zenith total ankle system.
In addition to the basic product descriptions, the Surgeon Resource Hub allows users to access data on device usage, including surgical technique descriptions and animated operative procedures.
Last month, the company published data from a new 11-year follow-up study for its Cormet hip resurfacing device, showcasing its excellent long-term clinical results.
The Journal of Arthroplasty paper demonstrated a 93 percent survivorship at 11 years for all patient groups and reasons for revision.
