Molnlycke expands production of Barrier drapes

Molnlycke has expanded production capabilities for its Barrier drapes with the introduction of a new production line at its manufacturing site in Waremme, Belgium.
The drapes manufactured using the new facilities will offer the same high quality as previous versions of the product, but will be created in a more environmentally-friendly manner, thanks to the design of the machinery.
According to Molnlycke, the new production line delivers 33 percent less energy consumption and a 35 percent reduction in CO2 emissions, while also greatly reducing water usage.
Meanwhile, the large-scale nature of the new facilities will help the company to develop and deliver better and more innovative products in future.
"The new manufacturing line enables us to further improve production quality and to secure production capacity. This will shorten our supply chain," said a statement from the company.
Last month, the firm announced the appointment of Clare Hollingsworth and Fred Colen as the newest members of the Molnlycke board of directors.
