Quintiles ranked among UK’s best workplaces

Quintiles has been named as one of the best workplaces in the UK for 2012.

In the latest annual rankings from the Great Place to Work Institute, the biopharmaceutical services firm was placed fourth in the large businesses category.

The institute commended Quintiles, which has five offices in the UK, for using technology to boost communication between senior members of its leadership team and frontline workers.

In addition, the firm scored highly for the sense of camaraderie among its workforce and its efforts in corporate social responsibility.

Lindy Jones, Quintiles' UK site head, said the company was "very proud" to be recognised as one of the country's top workplaces.

"This honour reflects our efforts to attract and develop talented individuals to help the biopharmaceutical industry increase research productivity, control costs and achieve greater returns," she added.

The three firms ranked higher than Quintiles in the large companies category were Admiral Group, Capital One Europe and McDonald's.
