Covidien appoints new vice-president and treasurer

24th May 2012

Covidien has announced the immediate appointment of Gregory Andrulonis as its new vice-president and treasurer.

The former vice-president and assistant treasurer for capital planning and markets has been with the company since before it separated from Tyco International to become an independent business.

In his former role – which he has occupied since its creation in June 2007 – he was responsible for all aspects of capital markets, capital planning and credit functions, including equity and debt financing activities in the financial markets, capital planning and structure, and interest rate and foreign exchange rate risk management.

He succeeds Kevin DaSilva, who will remain vice-president and group chief financial officer for Covidien following this appointment.

This comes in the same month that the company completed its acquisitions of Newport Medical Instruments and superDimension, which are part of its efforts to expand its product portfolio and geographical reach.

An agreement to purchase Oridion Systems was also announced last month.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801370824-ADNFCR
