The British Veterinary Association (BVA) has revealed details of its new member survey, which is entitled Your BVA, Your Say.
Billed as the industry body's biggest ever survey of its members, the research will aim to evaluate the current level of satisfaction with the association among veterinary surgeons.
Members will asked to complete an online survey, while selected individuals are set to be contacted by external research agency Research by Design for in-depth interviews.
Veterinary surgeons have been asked to make sure the association has up-to-date contact details for them before the process begins.
"Our members are at the heart of everything we do, so it is essential we hear directly what our members think about and want from their association," said BVA president Carl Padgett.
He added that the findings of the survey will be used to "shape the future direction" of the BVA, which currently has more than 13,000 members.
The research is due to take place throughout June and July.
