22nd May 2012

Shimadzu has announced the launch of three new additions to its range of triple quadrupole mass spectrometers.

The company has introduced the GCMS-TQ8030 ultra-fast triple quadrupole gas chromatograph mass spectrometer, a device that offers powerful capability in terms of both high sensitivity and ultrafast performance.

Meanwhile, the LCMS-8040 and LCMS-8080 are the manufacturer's latest liquid chromatography mass spectrometer devices, expanding the range to include middle-range and high-end models.

All of these new products are being showcased by Shimadzu at the American Society for Mass Spectrometry conference in Canada and the International Symposium on Capillary Chromatography in Italy this month.

Teruhisa Ueda, director and general manager of Shimadzu's analytical and measuring instruments division, said: "With the launch of these three triple quadrupole mass spectrometers, Shimadzu will accelerate our contribution to cutting-edge research in healthcare and environmental concerns."

According to the company's most recent financial report, Shimadzu experienced a 5.4 percent year-on-year growth in net sales during the last fiscal year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801369153-ADNFCR
