Simplyhealth makes donation to British Heart Foundation

21st May 2012

Simplyhealth has provided 1,500 pounds to the British Heart Foundation (BHF) as part of its ongoing efforts to support charitable projects.

The health and dental insurance provider gave the sum to the Andover branch of the BHF, having raised the money through its monthly dress-down day event.

According to the BHF, the 1,500 pounds will help the foundation to reach its annual Andover fundraising target of 10,000 pounds, which will ultimately go towards research into various heart conditions.

Simplyhealth has active community funds in all four of its locations – Andover, Bristol, Leeds and Manchester – and donated more than one million pounds to charity last year.

Mark Day, a spokesperson for Simplyhealth, said: "We believe that by supporting local charities we can help to make a difference to the health and wellbeing of the community."

Earlier this month, Simplyhealth announced that its chief executive officer Des Benjamin has been appointed president of the Institute of Customer Service, which reflects the company's commitment to strong principles of client support.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801368056-ADNFCR
