Kimberly-Clark wins DBMA sustainability award

17th May 2012

Kimberly-Clark has been presented with the 2012 Circle of Excellence award from the Distribution Business Management Association (DBMA) thanks to its commitment to sustainability.

The company earned the accolade based on the strength of its Sustainability 2015 strategy, which encompasses environmentally-responsible supply chain management initiatives, community considerations and efforts to reach out to emerging markets.

DBMA presents this prestigious award each year to companies that demonstrate the highest standards based on factors such as consistency, integrity, responsibility, commitment, leadership and excellence in sustainability.

Suhas Apte, vice-president for global sustainability at Kimberly-Clark, said: "Sustainability is no longer only in the realm of our operations – it has grown to include virtually every function, every brand and every business at Kimberly-Clark."

This comes after the firm was also named as one of the world's most ethical businesses in a report compiled in March 2012 by the Ethisphere Institute, a leading global thinktank.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801365714-ADNFCR
