Heraeus launches Venus Pearl dental composite
16 May 2012 00:00 in Dental Supplier News
Heraeus has introduced a new light-curing, radio-opaque nano-hybrid dental composite called Venus Pearl.
The product is being introduced as pre-dosed capsules or in five different syringe-based package options, joining existing offerings in the Venus range such as the flagship Venus Diamond line.
Indicated for adhesively bonded, tooth-coloured restorations in the anterior and posterior regions, Venus Pearl provides a soft consistency for ease of handling, long-lasting esthetic results and a flexible range of uses.
The new product has already undergone an extensive series of field tests in several European nations and the US, receiving an extremely positive response from participants.
A company statement said: "This new universal composite delivers outstanding handling while still providing the minimal shrinkage stress and high flexural strength for which the Venus family of composites is known."
Earlier this year, the company also introduced Heraeus Venus White Ultra, a tooth whitening gel product that features improved gel viscosity for a better patient experience.
