CareFusion has reported strong year-on-year growth during the third quarter of its 2012 business year, which ended on March 31st 2012.
The healthcare firm's revenue total for the period came to $919 million (571.95 million pounds), up by nine percent compared to the corresponding quarter last year.

Additionally, CareFusion was able to close its Phacts acquisition and confirm the divesture of its Nicolet business during the quarter, while it also increased its research and development investment levels.
Kieran Gallahue, chairman and chief executive officer of CareFusion, said: "We continued to make good progress during the quarter on strategies to optimise our portfolio, simplify the complexity of our infrastructure and reduce expenses to fund growth initiatives."
This maintains the positive momentum experienced by CareFusion during the previous fiscal quarter ending on December 31st 2011, during which revenues rose by three percent to $915 million.
