Nobel Biocare has highlighted the positive business trends observed during the first quarter of 2012 in its latest interim fiscal report.
The dental technology firm generated first-quarter revenue of 147.6 million euros (120.35 million pounds), which was up by 2.8 percent year on year in local currency terms.
Growth in the Americas and Asia once again helped to offset the challenging conditions seen in Europe, with recent product launches hailed as successful and the company's various innovation and efficiency improvement schemes progressing well.
Richard Laube, chief executive officer of Nobel Biocare, said the company seeks to pursue further improvements to its performance, but said "significant progress" is being made in strategic terms.
He added: "Our Q1 results were in line with our expectations and our sales have been stable for about nine months."
In July 2012, the company will bolster its leadership team with the appointment of Frank Mengis as its senior vice-president for global operations, succeeding the retiring Ernst Zaengerle.
