KCI president and CEO assumes new leadership role
KCI's president and chief executive officer (CEO) Joseph Woody is taking on a new directorial role in the medical technology firm's overarching leadership structure.
Mr Woody has joined the board of directors for the parent company of KCI and sister business LifeCell, as has Lisa Colleran, the president and CEO of the latter organisation.
KCI and LifeCell are currently privately owned by a consortium controlled by Apax Partners and affiliates of Canada's pension plan investment board and public sector pension investment board.
This merger was formally concluded in November 2011, with a reorganisation of the company's management structure following earlier this year.
Mr Woody and Ms Colleran take over their new roles following the departure of Ronald Matricaria on March 31st 2012.
Buddy Gumina, a member of the board of directors, said: "We will benefit greatly from the strategic insight and operational experience Joe and Lisa provide as they join the board of directors."
